Navy Wins A Wild Scrimmage On Sunday

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- Navy came back from an early 4-0 deficit to post a 9-7 win over Blue in a wild affair at a hot Boshamer Stadium on Sunday.
Blue took a 3-0 lead in the first on Kyle Datres's three-run double, then went up 4-0 on Eli Sutherland's sacrifice fly in the second.
Navy got its first run in the fifth on a Cole Gibbs RBI-double to left center before exploding for six runs in the sixth. Zack Gahagan and Adam Pate each had run-scoring singles before Cole Gibbs crushed a mammoth three-run home run to right center. Logan Warmoth's RBI single capped off the inning that put Navy up 7-4.
Navy put two more runs on the board in the seventh as Brendan Illies stroked a two-run single. Blue got three back in the bottom of the eighth on a Tyler Lynn double and run-scoring singles by Adrian Chacon and Chase Fullington.
Ryder Ryan and J.T. Rogoszewski got the starts. Trevor Gay, Taylor Sugg, Logan Welch, Josh Hiatt, Sage Diehm, Chris McCue and Jordan Gubelman all threw in relief.
