September 28, 2015 | Men's Lacrosse
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The University of North Carolina men's lacrosse program will head to Baltimore this weekend to scrimmage against Ohio State in the annual Michael R. Breschi Scholarship game.
All proceeds from the game will benefit the Michael R. Breschi Scholarship Fund at The Ohio State University. The fund honors the late son of UNC head coach Joe Breschi. Breschi served as the head coach at Ohio State for 12 seasons before taking over the reins of the Tar Heel program in 2008.
The weekend will begin with a golf outing at Hunt Valley Golf Club on Friday with alumni from both schools participating for the annual "MRB" Cup.
Several events are scheduled for Saturday around the weekend's festivities. At 5 p.m. on Saturday the Tar Heel and Buckeye teams will hold a free youth clinic at Calvert Hall College High School in Baltimore.
The clinic will be followed by a scrimmage at 7 p.m. and a tailgate at 9 p.m. The 2015-16 Michael R. Breschi Scholarship recipient will be announced at the tailgate event.
Tickets are $5 for the scrimmage and a combined $15 game and taigate package is also available.
