Heels Hold First Spring Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, NC -- The North Carolina Tar Heels held their first scrimmage of the spring on Friday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium. After a frigid week, the temperature was in the fifties as the Navy squad took a 4-2 win over Blue.
Tyler Ramirez gave Navy a 2-0 lead in the first on a two-run homer to right center. A pair of RBI singles by Ryder Ryan would account for Navy's other two runs.
Blue scored two runs in the seventh on Tyler Lynn's double and a Cody Roberts single.
Six pitchers threw in the scrimmage: Zac Gallen and JB Bukauskus were the starters, while Hansen Butler, Kyle Datres, Spencer Trayner and Cody Roberts threw in relief.
Carolina will next scrimmage on Saturday.
