Four Corners: Taking Care Of Business In Hawaii
November 27, 2016 | Men's Basketball
CHAPEL HILL—After 10+ days in Hawaii, the North Carolina traveling party returned to Chapel Hill on Friday. The team posted blowout wins on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to capture its fourth Maui Invitational championship, then enjoyed Thanksgiving Day in Maui before flying home that night and arriving on Friday afternoon.
After a furious start to the season with seven games between November 11-23, there's a bit of a lull in the Tar Heel schedule as the team gets over its jet lag and finishes eating its Thanksgiving leftovers.
On to this week's Four Corners:
1. NEWS & NOTES
♦ The Tar Heels are enjoying a well-deserved week off between games. After playing four games in six days in Hawai'i by Wednesday, Carolina won't play again until next Wednesday (November 30) at Indiana.
♦ Carolina moved up from No. 5 to No. 4 in the national rankings last week and could inch closer to the top again when the new polls are released on Monday.
2. LAST WEEK
♦ Carolina started the four-game road swing with an 83-68 win at Hawai'i last Friday night over a team that played in the 2016 NCAA Tournament. Here are the highlights from GoHeels TV:
