Four Corners: Wrapping Up The Non-Conference Schedule

CHAPEL HILL—The Tar Heels are in the midst of a weeklong holiday break after Wednesday night's win over Northern Iowa.
Carolina will return to the Smith Center on Wednesday December 28 against Monmouth in the final non-conference game of the 2016-17 regular season. On to this week's Four Corners:
1. NEWS & NOTES
♦ There was good news on the Theo Pinson injury front:
Monday's CT scan on Pinson's foot showed improvement as hoped. He's expected to return to basketball activities soon (timetable TBD).

2. LAST WEEK
♦ The Tar Heels split a pair of games, losing a 103-100 thriller to Kentucky last Saturday and troucing UNI, 85-42, on Wednesday at home.
♦ There was plenty of reaction from the national college basketball media to the thriller in Las Vegas against the Wildcats. CBS' Matt Norlander praised the efforts of Justin Jackson & Joel Berry in the loss, while Fanrag's Kyle Kensing wondered if the contest was a possible Final Four preview.
