Heels Scrimmage On Tuesday

Chapel Hill, NC -- The Navy squad never trailed as they took a 6-2 win over Blue in a nine-inning scrimmage on Tuesday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.
Navy took a 1-0 lead in the second on Eli Sutherland's sacrifice fly, then scored two more runs in the fifth on a two-base error. Blue scored their first run in the bottom of the fifth on Brandon Riley's solo home run to right center.
Navy picked up three runs in the eighth on a Tyler Lynn sacrifice fly and Zack Gahagan's two-run triple. Blue scored one run in the bottom of the ninth on a bases-loaded passed ball.
Jordan Gubleman and Taylor Sugg were the two starters. Josh Hiatt, Chris McCue, Logan Welch, Kyle Datres, Brendon Little, Zach Rice and Cody Roberts threw in relief.
The Tar Heels will scrimmage three more times this week.
