Lane Earns First-Team All-EAGL Honors

PITTSBURGH, PA. - Morgan Lane led a group of five North Carolina gymnasts named to the All-East Atlantic Gymnastics League teams, which were released Tuesday.
First-team All-EAGL on each event and in all-around includes the top-8 ranked gymnasts (including ties) from the 10-week regular season. Second-team All-EAGL on each event and in all-around is comprised of No. 9 – No. 16 (including ties) from the final regular season rankings, which were released on Monday, March 14th. Rankings are based on the gymnasts' RQS (Regional Qualifying Score).
Lane, a sophomore from Columbus, Ind., was named first-team on the floor exercise and in the the all-around. She earned second-team honors on vault, uneven bars and the balance beam. Lane had the fourth-best RQS on floor at 9.875 and the fifth-highest all-around RQS at 39.175. Lane has been performing her best routines of the season in recent competitions, scoring her three highest scores in the last three meets.
Sophomore Kaitlynn Hedelund was a second-team performer on uneven bars and sophomore Madison Nettles earned second-team honors on vault.
Senior Lexi Cappalli and junior Christina Pheil were second-team selections in the all-around.
