Ramirez Grabs ACC Weekly Honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Clemson's Seth Beer and North Carolina's Tyler Ramirez have been voted the ACC Baseball Co-Players of the Week, while NC State's Joe O'Donnell was selected as the Pitcher of the Week.
ACC weekly honors are determined by a vote of a select media panel. This is the first career weekly award for all three players.
Ramirez hit .400 with two homers and 12 RBIs as No. 10 North Carolina won five games, including a three-game sweep at Duke. The junior centerfielder from Suffolk, Virginia, had an on-base percentage of .556 and a slugging percentage of .800 for the week, reaching base 15 times in 27 plate appearances. Ramirez reached base five times in two games this week, homering and walking three times both on Tuesday at ECU and Sunday at Duke. He also stole two bases and played errorless baseball in center field with one outfield assist.
