No. 13 Tar Heels Head To Winston-Salem For Three

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. ---No. 13 North Carolina plays its second consecutive road series when the Tar Heels visit Wake Forest for the first of three Friday at 6 p.m. at David F. Couch Ballpark. Carolina is 26-12 following Wednesday's 17-2 win over William & Mary. Wake Forest is 23-17 on the year after a 15-9 win over Appalachian State on Tuesday. The Deacons are coming off their biggest weekend of the season, a series win over No. 4 Florida State that saw them improve to 7-11 in league play. All three games are set to be broadcast on ESPN3 and can be seen at WatchESPN.com or on the ESPN app.

• North Carolina is 160-123-3 all-time against Wake Forest, including a 30-20 record under head coach Mike Fox.
• Only Virginia (295 meetings), NC State (290) and Duke (288) and are more common opponents for Carolina than Wake Forest (286).
• The Tar Heels have won eight of nine games in the series, including a three-game sweep in Winston-Salem in 2013. Carolina also took two of three in Chapel Hill in 2014.
