Knee Surgery For Kenny Williams
April 8, 2016 | Men's Basketball
CHAPEL HILL – University of North Carolina freshman men's basketball guard Kenny Williams underwent successful surgery on his right knee today to repair a torn meniscus. Dr. Alex Creighton performed the procedure at UNC Hospitals.
Williams suffered the injury during the 2015-16 season, in which he appeared in 30 games for the Tar Heels. The Midlothian, Va., native is expected to miss six to eight weeks of basketball action but should be fully cleared in time for the start of preseason practice in the fall.
