Tar Heels No. 8 In Both Polls

CHAPEL HILL—North Carolina moved up in each of the two major national polls on Monday after a pair of wins last week at North Carolina State and at home over then-No. 14 Virginia. The Tar Heels are No. 8 in this week's Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Polls after being No. 10/9 last week.
Carolina will host Louisville on Wednesday night in a meeting of top-10, conference opponents.
ACC Teams in the Poll
• There are six Atlantic Coast Conference teams ranked in this week's AP poll, including No. 7 Louisville, No. 8 Carolina, No. 10 Duke, No. 18 Viginia, No. 18 Florida State and No. 21 Notre Dame.
