BROOKLYN—North Carolina and Duke will meet for a third time this season on Friday when they meet in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament semifinals at 7 p.m. in the Barclays Center. The Tar Heels are 27-6 overall this season, including 4-1 in neutral-site games (3-0 in Maui, 0-1 vs. Kentucky in Las Vegas and 1-0 vs. Miami in the ACC Tournament).
NEW YORK
• The Tar Heels are 36-23 in New York City, including 2-0 in the Barclays Center, 28-13 in Madison Square Garden and 6-10 in the original Garden (1936-66).
ACC TOURNAMENT
• Carolina is 97-44 in the ACC Tournament, including 44-13 in the quarterfinals, 34-14 in the semifinals and 18-16 in the championship game.
• Carolina has won its last five games in the semifinals.
• Carolina is second in championships (Duke has 19), is tied with the Blue Devils for the most wins (both schools are 97-44 in the ACC Tournament) and first in championship-game appearances with 34.
WILLIAMS IN THE ACC TOURNAMENT:
• Carolina head coach Roy Williams is 22-10 in 14 seasons in the ACC Tournament. He tied former Duke coach Vic Bubas for third all-time with 22 ACC Tournament wins with UNC's 78-53 win over Miami on Thursday. Mike Krzyzewski is first with 59. Dean Smith is second with 58.
• Williams has led the Tar Heels to the title game in seven of his first 13 seasons, remarkably playing for the championship against seven different schools. Williams has led UNC to the title in 2007, 2008 and 2016.
• Williams is 7-3 in the semifinals.
• Williams and Krzyzewski are two of the four winningest coaches in ACC history in all games and in ACC games.

UNC-DUKE IN THE ACC TOURNAMENT:
• Carolina is 8-12 against Duke in the ACC Tournament, including 2-6 in the semifinals.
• The Tar Heels beat Duke in the semifinals in 1959 and 1972. The Blue Devils advanced to the finals by beating UNC in 1960, 1964, 1966, 1980, 1984 and 2003.
• Carolina is 6-5 against Duke in championship games, winning the title by beating the Blue Devils in 1969, 1969, 1979, 1989, 1991 and 1998.
• The schools have met just one prior time in the ACC Tournament with Roy Williams as UNC's head coach. In 2011, Duke beat Carolina, 75-58, in Greensboro in the championship game.
• Duke has won the last five series games in the ACC Tournament since Carolina beat the Blue Devils in the 1998 finals.
SECOND TIME IN NEW YORK
• Friday's semifinal is the second time Carolina and Duke have played in New York and the fifth time they have met outside the state of North Carolina.
• Carolina defeated Duke, 73-67, on 3/25/71 in the NIT semifinals in Madison Square Garden. Two days later, UNC beat Georgia Tech to win the NIT.
• Duke beat Carolina in Atlanta in the 1929 Southern Conference Tournament. The schools also split a pair of games in Atlanta in the ACC Tournament. UNC beat Duke behind Tournament MVP J.R. Reid in the 1989 championship game played in the Omni (current assistant coach Hubert Davis played in that game for UNC) and the Blue Devils won the 2001 title in the Georgia Dome.
UNC 78, MIAMI 53
• It was the 2,200th win in Carolina history. Only Kentucky and Kansas have also won that many games.
• Carolina shot 83.3 percent (15x18) from the free throw line, its highest percentage in an ACC game this year and its highest since making 12 of 12 against Wisconsin in the finals of the Maui Invitational.
• Carolina shot 52.4 percent from the floor in the first half, 53.1 in the second and 52.8 for the game.
• UNC has shot 50 percent from the floor in each of the last four halves (.500 and .516 against Duke).
• Carolina is 11-2 this year when shooting 50 percent (and 187-5 under Roy Williams).
• This was the seventh time this year UNC shot 50 percent from the floor in both halves – UNC is 6-1 in those games (wins over Chaminade, Oklahoma State, at Wake Forest, at NC State, Duke and Miami and a loss to Kentucky).
• Miami out-scored Carolina, 12-8, on second-chance points. It was the third time this year the opponents scored more second-chance points (Long Beach State, at Virginia and Miami).
• Nate Britt and Isaiah Hicks played in their 59th ACC win (52 regular season and seven Tournament). That is the most ACC wins in Carolina history. The previous record was 58 by Danny Green and Tyler Hansbrough.
• Isaiah Hicks led UNC with 19 points. He has 40 points in his last two games, most since he had 22 against Florida State and 20 vs. Syracuse on 1/14 and 1/16 of this year.
• Hicks went a career-best 9 for 9 from the free throw line, which is also the best perfect game by any Tar Heel this year. His previous best was 6 for 6 twice; UNC's previous best this year was 7 for 7 by Justin Jackson vs. Oklahoma State and 7 for 7 by Joel Berry II against Long Beach.
• This was the fourth time this year and the sixth time in his career Hicks led UNC in scoring.
• Theo Pinson led UNC with six assists, the seventh time in 14 games he led UNC in an assists.
• ACC Player of the Year Justin Jackson had 12 points, three assists and two steals. It was the 23rd time this year Jackson made multiple 3FGs in a game.
• Jackson has made 87 three-pointers this year which ties him for fifth in UNC single-season history with Donald Williams (1995) and Kenny Smith (1987).
CAROLINA-DUKE SERIES
• Carolina leads the all-time series with Duke, 135-109.
• Carolina has won five of the last 17 meetings in the series (since the start of the 2009-10 season). UNC had won six of seven from 2006-09.
• Head coach Roy Williams is 12-17 against Duke as Carolina's head coach, including 6-8 at the Smith Center, 6-8 at Cameron Indoor Stadium and 0-1 in the Greensboro Coliseum.
• The Tar Heels have played 244 games against Duke, more than any other opponent.
• Carolina is 42-44 against Mike Krzyzewski's Duke teams.
• Carolina and Duke have won 37 of the ACC's 63 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament championships, including 19 by Duke and 18 by UNC.
• Carolina and Duke are No. 1 and 2 all-time in the ACC in wins, ACC regular-season wins, ACC Tournament wins and NCAA Tournament wins.
• Carolina has won the ACC regular-season title 31 times. The Blue Devils are second with 19 regular-season crowns.

• Roy Williams is 13-20 against the Blue Devils – 12-17 at Carolina and 1-3 while the head coach at Kansas. During his 10-year tenure as Dean Smith's assistant, Carolina was 16-11 against the Blue Devils.
UNC VS. DUKE IN THE AP RANKINGS
• This is the first time UNC has been ranked higher than Duke in five consecutive meetings in the series (both games last year and all three this season) since being ranked higher in 12 straight games against Duke from 1980-84.
• Friday's semifinal in New York is the 160th consecutive meeting in the series when at least one of the two schools was ranked in a national poll. The streak dates to 2/25/55.
• This is the 145th consecutive meeting in which at least one school has been ranked in the Associated Press top 20 or AP top 25. Of those games, 130 contests have featured a team in the AP top 10.
• Including the March 10th semifinal game, UNC has been ranked in the AP poll in 118 of the last 145 games against Duke and the Blue Devils have been ranked 101 times.
• This is the 165th meeting between the two schools since the ACC began play in 1953-54 and the 162nd time in that span at least one of those teams was ranked in the AP poll (the only games in which both teams were not ranked were in 1955 and 1960).
THIS YEAR
• Duke beat Carolina, 86-78, in Durham on 2/9; the Tar Heels beat the Blue Devils, 90-83, on Senior Night in Chapel Hill on 3/4.
• Duke scored 169 points in the two games; Carolina scored 168.
• Carolina shot 51.6 percent from the floor, 34.5 (10x29) from three and 26 for 39 from the free throw line (.667).
• The Blue Devils shot 48.6 percent from the floor, 43.5 (20x46) from 3FG and 80.4 from the line (41x51).
• Carolina out-rebounded the Blue Devils, 65-62.
• Carolina had 32 assists on 66 field goals and committed only 14 turnovers; Duke had 23 assists on 54 baskets and committed 18 turnovers.
• Carolina's scoring leaders in the two games included: Joel Berry II (21.5 ppg), Justin Jackson (18.0), Kennedy Meeks (8.5), Tony Bradley (8.0) and Luke Maye (8.0). Isaiah Hicks did not play at Duke due to injury, but scored 21 in the game in Chapel Hill.
