RALEIGH, N.C. - North Carolina junior Morgan Lane has been named the 2017 East Atlantic Gymnastics League Gymnast of the Year.

After the regular season, Lane was ranked No. 1 for EAGL in the all-around and on balance beam. She was ranked No. 2 on the floor exercise. Lane has competed as an All-Arounder in every meet this season and is currently ranked 21st nationally in the All-Around.

UNC Head Coach Derek Galvin calls Lane “a joy to coach and a delightful performer.”

Lane's 2017 Scores included:

 VAULT – RQS 9.73; AVE. 9.686; High 9.875

 BARS – RQS 9.79; AVE. 9.769; High 9.85

 BEAM – RQS 9.89; Ave. 9.875; High 9.95
