Perry Finishes Tied for 15th in LPGA Event

ONEIDA, Wis. – Former Tar Heel Katherine Perry had the best performance of her rookie season on the LPGA Tour this past weekend, finishing 14 under par and tied for 15th in the inaugural Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic.
Perry shot 68, 70, 68, 68 over her four days to end the weekend with her best score and highest finish of her young career. Her play was consistent throughout the weekend, finishing with 21 birdies to only seven bogeys, six birdies coming in both her second and third rounds. She was also strong when driving, hitting 79% on the fairways.
Perry finished strong in her final round, shooting par or better on every hole and only needing 25 putts to get around the course.
The course featured a par-72 setup over 6,624 yards.
The next LPGA Tour stop is the U.S. Women's Open on July 13-16, taking place at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
