Navy Wins Low-Scoring Scrimmage On Thursday

Chapel Hill, NC --  The Navy squad scored solo runs in each of the first three innings to take a 3-2 win over Blue in an eight-inning scrimmage on Thursday afternoon on another hot day at Boshamer Stadium. Navy had nine hits to seven for Blue, and Blue committed the only two errors of the scrimmage.
Michael Busch and Ike Freeman both had solo home runs for Navy, with Josh Ladowski adding a double. Jackson Hesterlee's two-run homer gave Blue its only two runs. Ashton McGee added a double for Blue.
Eight pitchers saw action: Will Sandy, Nik Pry, Hansen Butler, Austin Love, Andrew Grogan, Connor Ollio, Austin Elliott and Kyle Blendinger.
The Tar Heels next scrimmage will be on Friday. Carolina will play host to the College of Charleston on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
