Carolina Hosts Western Carolina Saturday Afternoon

Carolina steps out of conference for the final time Saturday when the Tar Heels host in-state foe Western Carolina at 3 p.m. at Kenan Stadium.
UNC is 1-8 on the year and 1-6 in the ACC following a 42-35 loss at Duke last Saturday. Michael Carter led a strong running attack with 148 yards on 18 carries, but the Tar Heels were limited to just seven points after halftime and a last-second pass to the end zone was knocked down as time expired.
Western is 3-7 on the year and finished 1-7 in Southern Conference play with a 38-23 loss to No. 14 Wofford Saturday in Cullowhee. The Catamounts have dropped seven straight after opening the season 3-0, but they have suffered close losses to a pair of ranked teams in ETSU and Wofford down the stretch.
Saturday's game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra, an online streaming service available to ESPNÂ subscribers.

• In the first of a two-game series between the two programs, Carolina scored a 65-10 win at Kenan Stadium.
• Nathan Elliott threw for four touchdowns in the victory, and eight different Tar Heels found the end zone on the day.
