Tar Heels Climb Again In Polls

CHAPEL HILL—North Carolina climbed to No. 9 in both major national polls released on Monday afternoon. The Tar Heels moved up a spot from 10th to ninth in both the Associated Press Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll after winning its only game last week.
Carolina won at Syracuse last Wednesday night, then had the weekend off without a game. UNC will host Miami on Tuesday at 9 p.m. for senior night, then wrap up the regular season on Saturday night at Duke.
The Tar Heels are ranked in the AP poll for the 894th week and the 668th week in the top 10.
