• Carolina will honor these 18 student-athletes on Saturday in their final game at Kenan: Layton Barber, Jake Bargas, Corey Bell, Allen Cater, Aaron Crawford, Nolan DeFranco, Myles Dorn, Graham Eklund, Brandon Fritts, Charlie Heck, Nick Polino, Nick Quigley, Dominique Ross, Michael Rubino, Hunter Sheridan, Jason Strowbridge, Carl Tucker and Antonio Williams.

• Mack Brown became the winningest coach in Tar Heel football history with his 73rd victory on Oct. 26 over Duke, 20-17.Â
• Dick Crum held the previous record with 72 wins.Â
TAR HEELS AND BEARS
• Carolina leads the series with Mercer, 1-0. The only previous meeting was a 3-0 Tar Heel victory in Macon, Ga., in 1925.
• Mercer reinstated its program in 2013 after a 72-year hiatus when the program was dropped after the 1941 season with the beginning of the United States involvement in World War II.Â
