GAME PREVIEW
• Carolina hosts Mercer for the final home game of the regular season that serves as Senior Day for the Tar Heels. Kick off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET at Kenan Stadium.
• UNC is coming off a 34-27 overtime loss at Pitt on Thursday, Nov. 14, while the Bears lost, 38-33, at ETSU this past Saturday in their final SoCon game of the year.

SENIOR DAY
• Carolina will honor these 18 student-athletes on Saturday in their final game at Kenan: Layton Barber, Jake Bargas, Corey Bell, Allen Cater, Aaron Crawford, Nolan DeFranco, Myles Dorn, Graham Eklund, Brandon Fritts, Charlie Heck, Nick Polino, Nick Quigley, Dominique Ross, Michael Rubino, Hunter Sheridan, Jason Strowbridge, Carl Tucker and Antonio Williams.

BROWN TAKES TOP SPOT AT UNC
• Mack Brown became the winningest coach in Tar Heel football history with his 73rd victory on Oct. 26 over Duke, 20-17.
• Dick Crum held the previous record with 72 wins.

TAR HEELS AND BEARS
• Carolina leads the series with Mercer, 1-0. The only previous meeting was a 3-0 Tar Heel victory in Macon, Ga., in 1925.
• Mercer reinstated its program in 2013 after a 72-year hiatus when the program was dropped after the 1941 season with the beginning of the United States involvement in World War II.

BROWN VS. MERCER
• Mack Brown has never faced Mercer in his head coaching career that spans 31 seasons.

HISTORY MAKING
• Sam Howell has set the UNC freshman quarterback record with 29 passing touchdowns, and is just one away from tying the single-season record of 30 set by Mitch Trubisky in 2016. He also owns the freshman single-season record with 2,794 passing yards.
