No. 17 North Carolina Travels To Little Rock Friday

No. 17 North Carolina (3-1) will travel to Arkansas this week to wrestle Little Rock (1-0) Friday at 7:30 p.m. EST. Fans can watch the dual on Little Rock's athletic website at this link.

UNC returns to the mat for the first time since December 1 when the team defeated Appalachian State at Carmichael Arena, 19-13. Zach Sherman led the way at 141 pounds with a major decision, while Clay Lautt (174) pushed his season dual meet record to 4-0 with his 8-5 decision win.

The Tar Heels have three wrestlers ranked in Intermat's rankings: No. 1 Austin O'Connor (149), No. 19 A.C. Headlee (157) and No. 17 Kennedy Monday (165).Â

Little Rock hosts Carolina Friday as a part of its inaugural season as a program. Led by head coach Neil Erisman – a UNC assistant from 2014-2018 – the Trojans won their first dual against the University of the Ozarks, 34-6, on November 24.
