Â
• It was the first time in UNC history two Tar Heels (Coby White and Cameron Johnson) made six three-pointers in a game. Two players with five had been done three times, most recently at Stanford last year (6 by Kenny Williams, 5 by Joel Berry II).
Â
• The Tar Heels are now 40-17 at Clemson, including 29-14 at Littlejohn Coliseum. UNC is 8-2 in its last 10 trips to Clemson.
Â
• Roy Williams is now 87-47 in ACC road games, the third most wins and second highest percentage (.649) in ACC history.
Â
• This was Carolina's 10th road win of the season. The Tar Heels are the only team in the ACC, American, Big East, Big 10, Big 12, Pac 12 or SEC with 10 road wins.
Â
• This is the second time in UNC history and the second time under Roy Williams the Tar Heels have won eight ACC road games. UNC went 8-0 in a 16-game ACC schedule in 2008. The Tar Heels have one more road game, at Boston College on Tuesday.
Â
• Carolina is now 95-31 in March/April under Roy Williams, a winning percentage of .754.
Â
• This is the seventh time Roy Williams has led UNC to 14 regular season ACC wins. 2005, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017 and now 2019.
Â
• Carolina is 14-2 in the ACC. This is the 11th time Carolina has won 14 ACC games in the regular season. The rest of the ACC has done that a combined 17 times.
Â
• Coby White's 62 points in the last two games are the second most by a Tar Heel freshman in consecutive games. Record is 65 by Tyler Hansbrough in 2006 (25 vs. Miami and 40 vs. Georgia Tech).
Â
• With 458 points, White moves ahead of Raymond Felton (450) and Wayne Ellington (445) to tie with Mike O'Koren for 11th in most points by UNC freshman. Michael Jordan is 10th with 460.
Â
• White made six threes at Clemson. He has 70 for the season and moved ahead of Ellington (66), Harrison Barnes (67) and Felton (69) into second all-time by a Tar Heel freshman. Rashad McCants holds the record with 72.
Â
• Cameron Johnson made six threes (also made six at Clemson a year ago). Moves into second in UNC single season history with 2.69 threes per game. Record is 2.71 by Shammond Williams in 1997. Johnson has made 78 in 29 games.
Â
• Johnson now shooting 48.1 percent from three for the season (third best in a season at UNC) and is 32 of 54 from three in UNC's eight ACC road games/wins (59.3 percent).
Â
• Johnson scored 19 points and went 6-for-8 on 3-pointers. In five games against Clemson, he's averaged 17.6 points and shot 64.5 percent (20-for-31) from behind the arc. He's averaged 24 points and shot 66.7 percent (18-for-27) on 3-pointers in three games with UNC
Â
• Luke Maye 13 points and 10 rebounds were his third double-double in the last four games, 12th of the season and 30th career.
Â
• Maye's one three-pointer of the game, which cut Clemson lead to one midway through second half, was his 100th career three-pointer.
