Tar Heels Down Campbell, 7-2

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Behind Hannah George's seventh complete game, North Carolina picked up a 7-2 road win at Campbell Wednesday night.
Capitalizing on eight Camel miscues, the Tar Heels scored three unearned runs throughout the game. Carolina jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first before extending it to six in the fourth. Brittany Pickett sent a sac-fly to right, concluding UNC's score at seven. Campbell continued to fight and scored a pair of runs on Christina Hall's triple in the sixth to finalize the score a t7-2.

Carolina improves to 27-14 while Campbell falls to 19-26. Up next, the Tar Heels travel to Virginia Tech to take on the ACC Coastal leaders for a three-game series, Friday and Saturday in Blacksburg, Virginia.

» Leah Murray singled and stole second before a Campbell miscue put Kristina Burkhardt at first and allowed Murray to score. Burkhardt scored on a passed ball. After drawing a walk, Ramsey reached third on an error and came home on a Megan Dray sac-fly, making it 3-0 after one.
» Hannah George loaded the bases with one out but was able to work out of the jam and keep the Camels off the board in the first.
