Carolina Adds Kennady Tucker To 2019 Signing Class

CHAPEL HILL - Kennady Tucker, a four-star guard from Little Rock, Arkansas, has signed her national letter of intent to play for the University of North Carolina women's basketball team beginning in the fall of 2019.
Tucker, a 5-10 combo guard, is ranked the No. 25 overall player in the 2019 class by All Star Girls Report. Additionally, Prospect Nation lists her No. 45 overall and the seventh best guard in the class. ESPN places her as a four-star recruit with an overall grade of 95 (out of 100).
"I chose North Carolina because I felt that I would be able to succeed on and off the court," said Tucker. "The people are incredibly nice and it's a place where I can excel and accomplish my goals."
At North Little Rock High School, Tucker played both point and shooting guard for the Lady Charging Cats. She compiled 1,120 points, 423 rebounds, 267 assists and 188 steals in four seasons.
Tucker was named all-state twice and all-conference four times. She was a junior on the 2018 Class 7A state championship team and a sophomore on the team that finished as state runner-up in 2017.
Tucker averaged career highs in points (12.6), rebounds (4.3), assists (2.8) and steals (2.9) as a senior.
"Kennady is a wonderful and hardworking student-athlete," said Daryl Fimple, North Little Rock high school girls basketball coach. "She is a great role model for kids in the way she approaches and interacts with them. Kennady's best days are in front of her."
