Senior defenseman leads UNC in caused turnovers

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - University of North Carolina senior defenseman Jack Rowlett of Burke, Va., was named this week to the 2019 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Team. It was the second successive year the Tar Heel long-stick standout has made the all-conference team.

Rowlett has played 61 games in his career, starting 55 games in his career. The senior has started all 14 games this season and scored four goals. He leads UNC in caused turnovers with 23, 11 more than any other teammate. He has 41 ground balls, the third most on the team. The 41 ground balls are the most he has had in a season at Carolina. He had 40 as a freshman in 2016. His 23 caused turnovers are the most he has had in his career, six more than he had as a freshman in 2016.

Rowlett now has 59 caused turnovers in his career and 138 career ground balls. He ranks fifth in career caused turnovers in UNC history and 56th in career ground balls.
