CHAPEL HILL – Despite a single-game high of 11 strikeouts by Brittany Pickett, North Carolina dropped the regular season finale to NC Central, 3-1 on Tuesday night at Anderson Stadium.

Berlynne Delamora put Carolina on the board with an RBI-single in the seventh inning. However, UNC was unable to come back from the Eagles' three runs in the fourth..

The Tar Heels wrap up the regular season at 33-17 as they await ACC Tournament seeding. NCCU improves to 21-24 before heading to the MEAC Tournament.

» NC Central's Jacobia Johnson blooped a single to left on the first pitch of the game, but a fly-out and pair of strikeouts stranded the runner.
» Kiani Ramsey sent a two-out single to right in the first inning, but a groundout ended the frame.
» The Eagles jumped on the board first, scoring three runs on four hits in the fourth.
» After striking out her 11th batter of the day, Pickett slugged a double to right field to spark Carolina's offense. Delamora drove in Carolina's lone run on a single up the middle. A fielder's choice and two walks loaded the bases. However, a groundout to first ended the game.
