#2 Carolina Hosts ITA Kick-Off Weekend

CHAPEL HILL - The second-ranked North Carolina women's tennis program is set to host ITA Kickoff Weekend matches this Friday and Saturday, welcoming Auburn, Columbia and Old Dominion to Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.

Columbia and ODU will open the tournament on Friday at 10 a.m. The Tar Heels will take on Auburn at 1 p.m.
The two winning teams will square off in the championship match on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., followed by the consolation match Sunday at 6 p.m.
The winner out of the title match advances to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship that will take place Nov. 7-10 in Chicago. The Tar Heels have reached the finals of the event each of the last five years, winning the indoor national championship in 2013, '15 and '18.
The fourth-ranked Carolina men's tennis team is also hosting this weekend in Chapel Hill on Saturday and Sunday. ODU and Georgia State play Saturday at 9 a.m., while UNC takes on Elon at noon.Â

The men's championship match is Sunday at 1:30 p.m. The consolation match will begin at 10 a.m.

All matches will be played indoors and admission is free.
