Tar Heels To Visit Iowa In ACC/Big Ten Challenge

CHAPEL HILL—The University of North Carolina men's basketball team will play at the University of Iowa on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, in the 22nd annual ACC-Big Ten Challenge.
Carolina will be playing in Iowa City for the second time ever and first since an 87-74 Iowa victory on Dec. 9, 1989. The Tar Heels are 1-3 all-time against Iowa.
UNC beat Iowa in the championship game of the 2004 Maui Invitational.
This is the second time the schools will face each other in the Challenge. The Hawkeyes defeated Carolina, 60-55, in Chapel Hill on Dec. 3, 2014.
Overall, the Tar Heels are 10-11 in the Challenge, including 10-7 under head coach Roy Williams.
All 14 games in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge will air on ESPN's networks and be available via the ESPN app. Game times and networks will be announced at a later date.
