Women's Basketball Working Hard In Carmichael

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – With the scheduled start of the basketball season less than two months away, on Nov. 25, the UNC women's basketball team continues working hard on the Carmichael Arena court and in the weight room. Coach Courtney Banghart has been pleased with what she's seen.
"I love this team," she said Thursday. "We've got the experience of Petra and Stephanie as well as Janelle and Jaelynn, bringing energy. Then Malu, Tucker and Ariel have a year more experience and confidence, and then the freshman class is bringing such passion and coachability and eagerness. They're all working hard, and this team has great chemistry."

Next week (Oct. 14) brings the start of 20-hour weeks – up from the current eight – as the season draws closer.
