No. 8 UNC Set For Friday Home Dual With No. 9 Pittsburgh

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- No. 8 North Carolina hosts No. 9 Pittsburgh this Friday in Carmichael Arena in the team's second-straight top-10 ACC wrestling dual. The match is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
The Tar Heels (11-2, 2-1 ACC) stay ranked eighth in the NWCA poll this week following a tight 19-14 loss to No. 3 N.C. State last Friday. Four Tar Heels are ranked in Intermat's weekly individual rankings: Austin O'Connor (No. 3 at 149), Zach Sherman (No. 11 at 141), Kennedy Monday (No. 15 at 165) and A.C. Headlee (No. 16 at 157).
Pittsburgh (9-3, 2-1 ACC) comes to North Carolina following a pair of wins at home last weekend.
The Panthers knocked off Virginia, 23-10, on Friday followed by a 51- -1 win over Davidson on Sunday (Davidson was deducted one team point in the match). Pittsburgh enters this dual with five wrestlers listed in Intermat's rankings: Micky Phillippi (No. 6 at 133), Jake Wentzel (No. 12 at 165), Gregg Harvey (No. 18 at 174), Nino Bonaccorsi (No. 7 at 184) and Demetrius Thomas (No. 8 at 285).
Doors to Carmichael Arena will open at 6:00 p.m. for Friday's dual. Students attending for Carolina Fever will receive three points.
