Volleyball Hosts Wake Forest And Virginia Tech

CHAPEL HILL – After last weekend's trip to Florida, the Carolina volleyball team returns home to welcome two ACC opponents: Wake Forest and Virginia Tech.
The Tar Heels face the Demon Deacons at 6 p.m. on Friday, while first serve against the Hokies is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday. Both matches will be streamed on ACCNX from Carmichael Arena. Admission is free.
During the two matches, we will be recognizing UNC faculty and Carolina volleyball alumni.

After an undefeated 11-0 non-conference slate, Carolina is still looking for its first win in ACC play. The Tar Heels went 0-2 during their trip to the Sunshine State. Carolina first lost a 3-2 come-from-behind heartbreaker at Miami on Oct. 1, before being swept by Florida State on Oct. 3.
Nia Parker-Robinson was one of the bright spots for the Heels in the two matches, racking up a combined 37 kills. She leads the team with 195 kills on the season, averaging 3.75 kills per set.
In her first two starts at libero, Olivia Diaz recorded 35 digs, setting three new career highs against Miami: digs (23), assists (10) and service aces (2).
Meghan Neelon, Carolina's primary setter, leads the team with 371 assists and is tied with Mabrey Shaffmaster with a team-best 13 service aces. Neelon is the only player to have appeared in all 55 sets this season and has started all 15 matches.
