Tar Heel Set For Saturday Matchup With Jacksonville

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The North Carolina men's lacrosse team returns to action Saturday evening for its second game of the 2021 season, hosting Jacksonville at 6 p.m. at Dorrance Field.
The game is not open to the public but will be broadcast live on the ACC Network. And considering the cold, rainy forecast for Chapel Hill on Saturday, the couch will likely be the more pleasant place for fans.
The Tar Heels (1-0) played their opener last Sunday afternoon, beating No. 7 Denver 24-13 at Kenan Stadium. The matchup with the Dolphins is the first regular-season UNC-JU meeting since 2010, although the teams played preseason scrimmages in 2019 and 2020.
Looking forward, UNC will host High Point on Tuesday in a change from the original schedule. The Tar Heels were to host Bellarmine that day, but the program has paused activity due to Covid protocols. Carolina will host HPU on Tuesday and then again on Feb. 27 for the teams' originally-scheduled matchup.
