Tar Heels Take On Panthers Sunday

North Carolina looks for its first road win of the season Sunday with an Atlantic Coast Conference women's basketball matchup at Pitt. The Tar Heels come into the game 9-8 overall and 4-8 in ACC play, but 0-5 away from Carmichael Arena.

The host Panthers are 4-7 overall and 2-6 in ACC play.

The Tar Heels and Panthers are meeting for the 11th time in a rivalry that dates back to the 1980-81 season. Pitt leads 6-4 overall, 5-4 since becoming a member of the ACC.
• Last season, UNC won 70-62 in Chapel Hill on Dec, 30, 2019 in the conference opener for both teams and the first ACC game for Tar Heel head coach Courtney Banghart.
• In the last matchup in Pittsburgh, the home team won 91-78 on Feb. 14, 2019. Current senior Janelle Bailey, then a sophomore, had a double-double in that game with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
• UNC is 0-4 against the Panthers in Pittsburgh, 0-3 in ACC play (2015, 2017, 2019).
