• Carolina shot a season-low 33.8 percent from the floor.
• Carolina shot 26.7 percent from the floor in the first half. It was the second straight game UNC shot under 30 percent from the floor against the Seminoles in the first half. UNC shot 25 percent in the opening half on Feb. 27 at home.
• Carolina trailed by 11 at the half. UNC has trailed at the half in 15 of its 28 games this season.
• Carolina has now been outscored by 12 points in the first half and outscored its opponents by 188 points in the second half.
• Florida State was 16 for 22 from the free throw line, while UNC made 14 of 25 (56.0 percent). The Tar Heels came into the game 14th in the ACC in free throw percentage. It was the eighth time this season UNC shot under 60 percent from the line.
• Carolina made six three-pointers, while the Seminoles made five. It was the second time in 10 losses this season UNC made more threes (the other time was January 16 at Florida State when UNC made 10 and FSU hit eight).
• The five threes by FSU were the fewest by an opponent in UNC's 10 losses this season.Â
• Florida State scored 19 points off Tar Heel turnovers. In three games this season FSU scored 66 points off UNC turnovers.
• Largely due to turnovers, FSU scored 19 fastbreak points tonight and 59 in three games vs. UNC this season.
