North Carolina senior Janelle Bailey has been named one of 52 regional finalists for the NCAA DI Coaches' All-America women's basketball teams, as announced Wednesday by the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA).

Bailey, a center from Charlotte, N.C., is just the fifth player in program history to score 1,700 career points and grab 1,000 rebounds. A four-year starter for the Tar Heels, she led the team this season in scoring(13.6 ppg) and rebounding (8.2 rpg) and reached double figures in 22 of 24 games.
She registered double-doubles in three of her last four games as a Tar Heel (and came a rebound away in the fourth) to finish her UNC career with 44 double-doubles.
Among active DI players, she ranks fourth in career double-doubles (44), sixth in rebounds (1,010) and 18th in points (1,724), and is the highest-ranked Atlantic Coast Conference player in each of those categories.
As a senior, she was a Top 10 finalist for Lisa Leslie Award as nation's top center for the third year in a row and earned All-ACC honorable mention.
