Men's Tennis Places Four On All-ACC Team

CHAPEL HILL—Four men's tennis players from the University of North Carolina earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors for the 2021 season. The honors, announced Thursday, were determined by a vote of the league's head coaches.
Senior William Blumberg earned first-team honors for the fourth time and was joined on the first team by sophomore first-time honoree Rinky Hijikata. Junior Brian Cernoch grabbed second-team honors for the second time (joining 2019). Senior Benjamin Sigouin, earning All-ACC honors for a third time, was on the third team.
Virginia's Carl Söderlund has been selected as the ACC Player of the Year. Wake Forest's Henri Squire was named the Freshman of the Year, and Virginia's Andres Pedroso was selected as the Coach of the Year.
The NCAA Men's Tennis Selection show is set for Monday, May 3 at 6:30 p.m. on the NCAA.com.
