Gray a Finalist for Senior CLASS Award

North Carolina's Chris Gray is one of 10 finalists for the men's lacrosse 2021 Senior CLASS Award, which is given annually to a senior who has notable achievements the areas of community, classroom, character and competition
The winner of the award will be announced later this month. Fan voting is considered in the tabulation, which also includes votes from coaches and media. To vote for Gray, click here up until May 17.
An attackman from Wading River, N.Y., Gray leads the Atlantic Coast Conference in goals and points. Earlier this spring he was announced as a recipient of an ACC Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship, recognizing outstanding academic and athletic achievement. A management and society major, he serves as one of five team captains for the Tar Heels this season.
UNC finished the regular season on Sunday with a 15-12 win over Duke to earn a share of the 2021 ACC Championship. The second-ranked Tar Heels (11-2) now await announcement of the NCAA Tournament bracket on Sunday.
The CLASS Award finalists were chosen by a selection committee from the list of 20 candidates announced earlier in the season. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their athletic platforms to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities. The awards are given in numerous different sports in addition to men's lacrosse.
