Two Homers Propel Navy By Blue On Saturday

Chapel Hill, NC -- Â The Navy squad scored four runs in the sixth inning to take a 5-2 win over Blue in a seven-inning scrimmage on Saturday morning at Boshamer Stadium on a beautiful day for baseball.
Navy got on the board first with a Patrick Alvarez solo home run to left in the third. Navy picked up four more runs in the top of the sixth. Alvarez scored on a fielder's choice for a 2-0 lead before Johnny Castagnozzi's three-run homer to left put Navy up 5-0. Blue got two of the runs back in the bottom of the inning on a two-run Will Stewart homer to right.
Alvarez had a double to go with his home run. Colbey Wilkerson's second-inning double was the only other extra base hit.
Will Sandy, Davis Palermo and Kyle Mott all threw for Navy. Shaddon Peavyhouse, Caden O'Brien and Connor Ollio threw for Blue.
Blue actually outhit Navy by a 4-3 margin but committed two errors to none for Navy.
NOTE: The new version of Trackman is still not working, so a box score wasn't able to be built, limiting scrimmage information.
