Garcia Out For Game Vs. Virginia Tech

CHAPEL HILL – University of North Carolina sophomore forward Dawson Garcia is unavailable to play in this evening's men's basketball game as he is returning home to Minnesota to deal with an illness in his family.
"We are fully supportive of Dawson and his family and will offer whatever assistance we are able to provide as they deal with this family matter," says head coach Hubert Davis.
The Tar Heels host Virginia Tech this evening at the Smith Center at 8 p.m. in a game that was re-scheduled from December 29.
Garcia is averaging 9.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in 16 games this season.
