Lucas: Shaver Gets Crash Course

Will Shaver, one of four freshmen on the University of North Carolina men's basketball roster for the 2022-23 season, is a forward from Birmingham, Ala.

The 6-10 Shaver enrolled at Caroina in January and learned on the job during the 2022 Final Four run while redshirting the season. He aims to provide depth and earn minutes in a Tar Heel frontcourt that will also include senior Armando Bacot, graduate transfer Pete Nance, freshman Jalen Washington and senior Justin McKoy, among others.
