Volleyball Earns Four Set Win At Duke

DURHAM, N.C. – The Carolina volleyball team (13-8, 5-5 ACC) went to Durham on Sunday afternoon and left with a four-set victory over Duke in Cameron Indoor Stadium. This is the Tar Heels' fourth straight victory over the Blue Devils.
Mabrey Shaffmaster and Charley Niego each had a double-double in the win, with Shaffmaster leading the match with 18 kills to go with 11 digs and a team-best three aces. Niego and Kaya Merkler were the other two Tar Heels in double-digits, each tallying 10 kills, while Niego and Maddy May had 11 digs apiece.
Anita Babic had 42 assists, her sixth forty-plus assist performance of the season, and set a new career-best with five blocks.
Liv Mogridge had nine kills in the match, five of which came in the fourth set, to go with three blocks.
Despite being outblocked by Duke 10 to 8, the Tar Heels outhit the Blue Devils .231-.170.
