No. 10 MLAX Hosts Brown In Midweek Tilt

CHAPEL HILL - The tenth-ranked North Carolina men's lacrosse team (2-1) is back in action at Dorrance Field on Wednesday, Feb. 23, when the Tar Heels host Brown (1-0). The game will face off at 1 p.m., and broadcast live on the ACC Network.

Looking Back
A big third quarter from Buckeyes put the Tar Heels in a hole as they dropped their first game of the season, 20-8, to Ohio State Saturday afternoon.

It is the first time since Apr. 8, 2006, that the Tar Heels have given up 20 goals. In that game, UNC lost 21-13 against Virginia. It is also the largest margin of defeat since Mar. 29, 1997, when the Tar Heels fell to Virginia 20-5.

Chris Gray led North Carolina with three goals and four assists. Nicky Solomon and Jacob Kelly notched two goals, while Harrison Schertzinger added a goal and an assist.

Series History vs. Brown
North Carolina is 3-0 all-time against Brown. On May 15, 1985, the team's first met when the Tar Heels earned the 16-14 win in the NCAA Quarterfinals. The two teams last met in 2013 as the Tar Heels downed the Bears 18-12 at Dorrance Field.
