Softball Travels to Buies Creek for Wednesday Midweek with Campbell

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Carolina softball team returns to the field on Wednesday, traveling to Buies Creek for an in-state midweek matchup at Campbell. The game gets underway at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium at 6 p.m. and will be broadcasted live on ESPN+.

The Tar Heels are coming off a 1-3 week, dropping a midweek matchup at Charlotte on April 6 before being falling on the road to Louisville in two of the three games in the ACC series.

Notables:

Carolina is 63-14 in the all-time series against the Camels and has won the last five dating back to April 27, 2016. The Tar Heels are 26-6 in Buies Creek
Sara Jubas currently ranks No. 1 in the ACC and No. 3 in the NCAA with 15 doubles on the season
Bri Stubbs ranks in the top-10 in the conference in runs scored (32), walks (26) and on-base percentage
In the last four games, Destiny Middleton is hitting a team-best .455, going 5-of-11 at the plate. In that four-game stretch, Jubas and Taylor Greene lead the team with four RBIs each

The Tar Heels host No. 3 Florida State for a three-game series starting on Friday at 6 p.m. It is also senior weekend and the team will honor Carolina's five graduating seniors, Taylor Greene, Taylor Puetz, Shayla Thompson, Sara Jubas and Hannah George, prior to Saturday's 2 p.m. game against the Seminoles.
