Downs Scores Twice In 2022 #TyleeStrong Spring Game

Chapel Hill -Â Carolina hosted the #TyleStrong spring football game on a cloudy and cool Saturday afternoon on Chris Smith Field at Kenan Stadium. The game played between teams Carolina and Tar Heels ended in a 14-14 tie.

- Jacoby Criswell connected with Josh Downs for the first score of the game on a 12-yard touchdown pass in the third series.
- Downs scored again for Carolina off a 38-yard touchdown pass from Drake Maye on the fifth series.
- Criswell found John Copenhaver for a 29-yard gain on the seventh possession to bring the ball to the one-yard line. D.J. Jones scored from a yard out on the next play.Â
- Elijah Green's 36-yard rush brought the ball to the 11-yard line on the ninth possession. Green scored on a three-yard touchdown run to finish off the drive.Â
- Maye was 9 of 12 for 113 yards and two passing touchdowns.Â
- Criswell completed all six of his pass attempts for 104 yards and a touchdown.Â
- Downs finished the game as the leading receiver with four catches for 95 yards and 2 touchdowns.Â
- Green's nine rushes for 61 yards and a touchdown led all rushers.
- Kamarro Edmonds gained 50 yards on four rushing attempts.
- Desmond Evans had two sacks on consecutive plays.
