LAST TIME OUT
Tomas Frick hit a walk-off double in the bottom of the 10th inning to give North Carolina a 4-3 win over visiting Charlotte at Boshamer Stadium on Tuesday night. With one out in the 10th, Johnny Castagnozzi drew a four pitch walk and was lifted in favor of pinch runner Reece Holbrook. Frick then lined the first pitch into the gap in left center for the first walk-off of his career as Holbrook slid into home plate with the game-winning run. Mac Horvath homered in the first and third innings to account for UNC's first two runs and Danny Serretti had an RBI-single in the fifth to plate the third run. The bullpen scattered six hits over the final 7.2 innings and allowed just one run with seven strikeouts.

• After having his consecutive games reaching base streak stopped at 50 on April 3, Angel Zarate has reached base in 12 of the last 14 games, collecting a hit in 11 of those games. Since the start of the 2020 season, Zarate has reached base safely in 105 of 111 games played. He has hit safely in 38 of 42 games this season with a team-high 21 multi-hit games.
