
Women's Tennis Sees Multiple Winners On Tuesday

CARY, N.C. – After three rounds of qualifying, two Tar Heels will be among the field of 32 who have qualified for the ITA Women's All-American Championship Main Draw.
Top-ranked Fiona Crawley and sophomore Reese Brantmeier will represent North Carolina beginning Wednesday.
On Tuesday, in the qualifying round, Elizabeth Scotty and Anika Yarlagadda each recorded round of 64 victories while teammate Reilly Tran dropped her match.
In the qualifying round of 32, Scotty decided to walkover, ending her run and Yarlagadda fell 6-7, 3-6.
In the singles consolation bracket, three Tar Heels bounced back after losses on Monday. Abbey Forbes and freshman Thea Rabman each recorded straight-set victories while Carson Tanguilig picked up a hard-fought three set win. Junior Lindsey Zink dropped her consolation bracket matchup.
This past weekend, Thea Rabman went 3-0 to clinch a spot in the pre-qualifying round before dropping her first match yesterday in the qualifying round.Â
The Tar Heels will finish out the week in the ITA All-American Championships in Cary before hosting the ITA Carolina Regional Championships beginning October 19th at the Chewning Tennis Center.
