McCollum & Maye Named ACC Players Of The Week

Charlotte, N.C. - After a dominant performance against the Syracuse Orange, North Carolina Quarterback Drake Maye and Receiver Nate McCollum were named ACC Players of the Week Monday afternoon.
Maye, the ACC Preseason Player of the Year, went 33-of-47 for 442 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Orange. On the ground, Maye added 55 yards and a touchdown in Carolina's 40-7 victory over Syracuse.
He was also named to the Week 6 Davey O'Brien Great 8 following his performance. Maye is now eligible for the 2023 Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award that will be announced in December. In addition, Maye was named one of the Manning Award's eight "Stars of the Week".
McCollum, who was also named ACC Wide Receiver of the Week following his week three performance, tallied seven receptions for 135 yards against Syracuse.
The Tar Heels host Miami this Saturday at Kenan Stadium.
