No. 17 Men's Basketball Hosting Florida State Saturday

• Carolina opens its 71st season of play in the Atlantic Coast Conference on Saturday, December 2, at home against Florida State. The ACC Network will televise the game.
• Tipoff is 2 p.m. at the Smith Center, where the Tar Heels are 4-0 this season and 240-68 all-time in conference play.
• Carolina is 6-1 this season and ranked No. 17 in the Associated Press poll. The Tar Heels sprinted to a 61-point first half and 22-point lead and held on for a 100-92 win over the 10th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers on Wednesday in the first ACC-SEC Challenge.
• Carolina is No. 5 in the country in offensive efficiency (120.5 pts/100 possessions).
• Florida State is 4-2 after a 68-66 home loss to Georgia.
• This is the first time the Tar Heels have opened ACC play against Florida State since 2006-07.
• Carolina is 62-8 in ACC home openers and 56-14 in ACC openers. This is the first time in four seasons UNC is beginning conference play at home.

• Carolina has won three of the last four, including a 77-66 win in Tallahassee last season.
• Leaky Black, RJ Davis, Caleb Love and Pete Nance each made three three-point field goals, the first time four Tar Heels ever made three or more three-pointers in the same game.
• Carolina made 11 three-pointers in the first half, which tied the UNC record for a half.
• Black tied his career high with 18 points and added nine rebounds and three assists. Davis led UNC in scoring with 19, while Armando Bacot scored one point in 21 minutes.
• Carolina led by 18 at halftime and 16 with 6:04 to play before the Seminoles went on a 14-2 run. Davis scored two field goals around a Black drive-and-dunk to stretch the lead back to eight with under a minute to play.

• RJ Davis (27), Armando Bacot (22) and Harrison Ingram (20) combined for 69 points and Elliot Cadeau had 10 assists as No. 17 UNC beat No. 10 Tennessee, 100-92.
• The Tar Heels scored 61 first-half points (UT was allowing 61.5 per game) and led by 22 at the half. The Vols came into the game No. 1 in the nation in defensive efficiency.
