CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – All eyes will be on Dorrance Field this Saturday as No. 5 North Carolina women's lacrosse (11-2, 6-1 ACC) hosts No. 1 Syracuse (14-0, 7-0 ACC) for a top-5 showdown at noon ET.

The game will be aired nationally on ESPNU with Jay Alter and Sheehan Stanwick Burch on call. Tickets are available here.

Prior to warmups, the Tar Heels will honor their graduating class in Anna Barton, Olivia Dirks, Julia Dorsey, Lauren Figura, Gabi Hall, Elizabeth Hillman, Bailey Horne, Nicole Humphrey, Briana Lantuh, Livi Lawton, Emily Nalls, Brooklyn Neumen, Mason Paradine, Melissa Sconone and Katherine Thompson as well as athletic training graduate assistant Maddie Schulz.

Gates will open at 10:30 a.m. as fans are encouraged to attend the Senior Day celebration.

won 60 of their last 63 games, and 68 of their last 72 games
scored double-figure goals 69 times in their last 72 games

North Carolina is coming off a 12-9 win at East Carolina on Tuesday afternoon in the nonconference finale. Trailing 8-6 two minutes into the final quarter, Figura found the back of the cage for the first of six unanswered goals for the Tar Heels to spark the comeback win.

Humphrey had a career-high four goals in the contest, bringing her season total up to 18. Freshman Marissa White leads all scorers with 33 while goalkeeper Alecia Nicholas owns a .500 save percentage.

Tar Heel Tidbits

38.5% of UNC's goals this year have been from true freshmen.
41% of North Carolina's goals this year have been off the bench.
Caitlyn Wurzburger is two goals away from reaching 100 in her career, and 21 points away from 200.
With 23 on the year, Wurzburger currently has 82 career assists to be tied for sixth all-time in UNC history. She's five away from ranking fifth.
White is the only Tar Heel who has scored in every game this season.
Reilly Casey has a team-high 28 assists so far, which ranks 12th on UNC's all-time single-season list. She is four away from cracking into the top-10.
UNC has had 19 different goal scorers this year, including a season-high 11 on March 23. Twelve have scored at least five so far.
Carolina's graduating senior class has only lost three games during their collegiate careers.

This will be the 18th meeting all-time between North Carolina and Syracuse with UNC leading the series at 11-6, including 5-1 in Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels defeated the Orange, 14-12, in New York on April 9, 2022, in the teams' last meeting where Wurzburger had a goal and two assists.

The last time the Tar Heels defeated a No. 1-ranked opponent was their 16-15 win at top-ranked Boston College on March 20, 2022.
