Kelly Set For AmeriCup Debut In Mexico

North Carolina's Deja Kelly and her teammates on the U.S. Women's AmeriCup Team roll into action on Saturday in León, Mexico, taking on Venezuela in their Group A opener.
The USA Basketball squad will hit the court against Argentina Sunday then meet Brazil on Tuesday. Those first three games all tip off at 4:40 p.m. ET. The team wraps up pool pay on Wednesday against Cuba with a 2:10 p.m. tipoff.
Action continues with the quarterfinals on July 7, semifinals on July 8 and medal games on July 9.

Kelly, a rising senior from San Antonio, Texas, was named to the team on June 22. Following a training camp in Colorado Springs, the U.S. squad traveled to Mexico to continue preparation for AmeriCup play.
The U.S. has won the past two Women's AmeriCup titles, in 2019 and 2021 in Puerto Rico. For more information on the competition, click here.
