Dillon & Murphy Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

University of North Carolina men's tennis players Mark Dillon and Peter Murphy both have earned 2023 ITA Scholar-Athlete Awards, the Intercollegiate Tennis Assocation announced on Monday.
Murphy, a junior from Portland, Ore., also earned spots on the 2023 Academic All-Atlantic Coast Conference team and the '23 Academic All-District list.
Dillon is a 2023 UNC graduate who attended Carolina on a prestigious Morehead-Cain Scholarship, the highest academic grant given by the university.
Academia is an integral aspect of the college tennis experience and adds to the unique student-athlete experience found on college campuses across the nation.
