Vician's Two-Goal Effort Lifts Men's Soccer Over UNCW

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Behind Martin Vician's two-goal showing, the North Carolina men's soccer team (3-0-3, 0-0-2 ACC) defeated UNCW 3-0, in non-conference action Tuesday night.
How It Happened
• Carolina opened the scoring in the seventh minute, when Parker O'Ferral's cross found Quenzi Huerman at the back post, who dished to Martin Vician.
• Vician collected his second goal of the night in the 55th minute, connecting once again with Huerman.
• Huerman scored his fifth goal of the season in the 74 minute, sending home a cross from Juan Caffaro.
Inside the Numbers
• Carolina builds on its series lead with the Seahawks, 14-6-3, including 10-2-2 in Chapel Hill.
• Goalkeepers Quinn Closson and Andrew Cordes combined for the shutout.
• Til Zinnhardt, Charlie Harper, Parker O'Ferral, and Andrew Czech played the full 90 minutes
• Vician's two goals was the fourth multi-goal game of his career, and his first as a Tar Heel.
Huerman's Hot Start
• Quenzi Huerman's five goals are the most scored by a Tar Heel in the first six games of the season since Billy Schuler scored five in 2011.
